It was love at first sight for this week’s rural bride Elyse Maher and husband Ben, who met on a blind date set up by Elyse’s best friend. “I was very nervous. I didn’t know what to expect. All I knew was that he was twenty-two and lived on a farm in Ballimore.” For those who don’t know, Ballimore is small village less than 100km out of Dubbo in Central West NSW.
At the time they met Elyse was still in school finishing year twelve and Ben, a busy man working away at Westrac. The couple began dating in 2010 and wed in October last year.
Venue: The ceremony was held in St Andrews Chapel in Dubbo. The reception was held at a local favourite for weddings- Dundullimal Homestead. Dundullimal is a seriously gorgeous place! It oozes rustic charm and is a simply stunning location.
Photographer: MMG Photo and Cinema in Dubbo. All the photos featured in this post were taken by MMG.
Hair and Makeup: Hair was by Jacqui Munro from Majesty Hair Dubbo. Elyse and her bridesmaids all sported updo’s that were relaxed at the front. Makeup was by Danielle Pearce.
Overall the wedding of Ben and Elyse was of classic, country and beautiful.
Best wishes to the happy couple.
