This story comes from Tess in NSW.
I was a rural bride on September 5th 2015.
My now husband Peter and I had been together since 2008 with two beautiful boys when he finally proposed on 24th Dec 2014.
We decided on a rural/rustic style wedding as neither of us are traditional. Our bridal party consisted of 3 of my closet friends and sister, and our groomsmen were our two boys, my brother and Peter's father as his best man.
I fell in love with our ceremony and reception location "Daruka Homestead" located just out of Tamworth, NSW.
We did a lot of the wedding ourselves between myself, family and friends.
I got my wedding dress from Spurling, Tamworth. Our suits weren't exactly suits so they were just purchased are Target.
Thank you Tess for sharing your real rural wedding with The Rural Bride community. xx
What advice would you give to any future brides?
God, I'm not one to give advice. I was the slackest bride ever! Haha. But, just please don't leave things to the last minute! And, if you REALLY want something just lash out and get it. You don't want any regrets.
