Our wedding day was on the 4th of March this year and it was on my family property just outside of Miles in South West QLD. My husband and I live on the property and our house is 50m from the shed where the ceremony and reception was held.
It took us nearly a year to prepare including starting a lawn from scratch! Most of my vendors were local including our amazing cake from the bakery, dress maker for the brides maids and groomsmen, catering, celebrant etc etc.
My brothers played guitar for me to walk down the aisle and my husband was very handy and made all of our bar, and hanging lights etc.

Hannah and James, aka. Han and Guesty, met where all young people meet- at college. The pair were both in their first year at UNE and living on campus at the infamous Albies college when they were introduced to each other. Fast forward a couple of years and they became engaged. Han nearly choked on her breakfast as Guesty said “I think we should get married”.
Earlier this year these two lovebirds tied the knot. Han has so generously shared all the details with us.
Venue: Ok so we had the ceremony and reception at the same place, called the Vinegrove in mudgee. It's an amazing package deal, you can rent their private house to stay in, get ready the morning of etc.
The couple who own it are basically your wedding coordinators, they help you plan everything and run around on the day doing all those odd jobs like lighting candles. They don't provide food or drinks, but give you an extensive, very well researched list of local suppliers for everything you could possible imagine! I would 100% recommend them, they are incredible
Beautiful big marquee set up in the middle of grapevines, amazing sound system built into the roof of the marquee, under the silk lining
And she will decorate it absolutely however you want it, she has soooooo many decorations!
Hair and Make Up: Hair was 'Hair by Candice', her name is Candice Thompson, and makeup was Katie's professional makeup artistry, her name is Katie Rheinberger. Airbrush foundation = miracle!
Flowers: An amazing little old lady who lives in mudgee, she used to be a florist and now just does weddings at the Vinegrove for Sarah (lady who owns it). Her name is Geraldine, but Sarah calls her the 'secret squirrel' haha. She did our bouquets and sarah did all the table and marquee styling with shitloads of gum branches/leaves we hunted and gathered!
Brides dress: ASOS They have a whole bridal line now, nothing over $500 it's amazing
Veil: My veil was the real star of my outfit, it was from Etsy.
Bridesmaid dresses: Bojena King- the goddess of bridesmaid dresses haha! They got a lot of compliments.
Groom and his men: Suits from Peter Jackson, good package deal, and bow ties and socks from Otaa
Cake: Sweet As Cake Design
Food: We used Relish catering from Narrabri, amazing value, they were so much cheaper than the local companies even with the travel fee to Mudgee! People raved about the food.
Photography: Little Photo Co. Her name is Jenna Kensey, local Mudgee girl. Again, amazing value
Music: DJ Daddy Dollar$, aka Cameron Amos. He is a town planner in mudgee but also profesh DJ. He was brilliant.
Celebrant: Annie Scott from Marry Me Annie. Annie was so amazing, get around her!
Han and Guesty used a number of Hidden Gem suppliers. Head to Hidden Gems to see what's on offer.
Congratulations on your marriage Mr and Mrs Guest! We can't wait for whatever the future will bring.
